Minis are figures that players use to battle against each other alongside the centerpiece, the Heroes. Each Mini has an Elixir cost, which shows the amount of Elixir needed to deploy that Mini in the board, and also to upgrade them. Elixir costs range from 2 to 5.
All Minis have one base skill. As of the moment, it can be a Clash ability (used at the start of a battle), a Super ability (activated when their energy is full), a K.O. ability (triggered when the unit dies), or a Passive ability (happens throughout the round, hence it's a passive ability).
Each Mini also has 3 Star Upgrades. Only after the upgrades it is possible to unlock Star abilities in battle, each demanding the Mini's Elixir cost. It is important to note that Minis can gain new abilities (such as Clash and Passive) from the upgrades.
Unlocking Minis[]
There are two ways to unlock a new Mini:
- Most Minis are unlocked in the Unit tab, as a reward for reaching a new Collector Level. You can only unlock Minis from the sets you've unlocked.
- There are currently six sets: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Fabled and Legendary I.
- Uncommon is unlocked at Collector Level 3, Rare at 10, Epic at 20, Fabled at 45 and Legendary I at 85.
- When you increase your Collector Level through refinement, you get a random reward, these can be Minis, Silver Keys or Golden Keys. You don't need to unlock all the Minis from one set to unlock the next set.
- There are currently six sets: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Fabled and Legendary I.
- Special Units can only be unlocked via the Toy Machine with Golden Keys.
- Additionally, new players start off with Barbarian King, Barbarian, Spear Goblin, Skeleton Guard, Dagger Thrower and Miner already unlocked.
Refining Minis[]
- To increase the quality of (refine) Minis and Heroes, you need Gold and Shards. There are two types of Shards, general and Specific. Specific Shards can only be used for the specified unit, and will be prioritized on that unit over General shards, if there aren't enough Specific shards, General shards will be used to fill the difference.
- When refining a Unit, you will gain 1 Collector XP, used to increase your Collector Level, some Quality Levels will give additional cosmetics, namely emotes, game highlights and player avatars. Refining does not affect the power of a Mini.
- You can get Gold and Shards from Quests, Mini Pass, Trophy Road, Events, Toy Machine and Piggy Bank.
- To refine a Unit to Quality 5-7, you need Collector Level 10; Quality 8-10, Level 30 and Quality 11-15, Level 60.
